Reward your readers
Comments are a wonderful thing to receive on your blog, with AJAX CommentLuv for Wordpress and Wordpress MU you can give something back to your community straight away by including a titled link for their last blog post on the end of their comment. The plugin fetches the feed of the commenter while they type their comment and extracts the last blog post title with link and displays it below the comment form. When they submit their comment, the last blog post link gets added on the end of their comment for all to see!

Wordpress and Wordpress MU

1

Upload commentluv folder to wp-content/plugins

For Wordpress MU, a client blog must activate the plugin from their own dashboard. Please use the regular plugin folder and NOT the mu-plugins folder. Single Wordpress users, activate the plugin in the normal way after upload.

2

Visit the settings page

On a wordpress MU blog, a client blog can change the settings for their own blog after activation.

The plugin will auto-configure for your comment form. If you have a nonstandard comment form or a plugin type comment form, you will need to enter the name or ID values for the author, url and comment fields.

Form element default
Author Name Field author
Author URL Field url
Comment Textarea ID comment
seen in comments.php
in the settings page
3

Logout and enjoy the CommentLuv goodness!

This version will work with blogs that require registration to comment and also with logged on MU users visiting another client blog. On a 'registered to comment' single blog, it takes the url from the users' profile. With MU, it uses the first blog url allocated to that user

Requirements

For logged on users, the plugin listens for the commentform action and adds the logged on users name and site url as hidden fields. If this doesn't happen, it's probably because the comments.php file doesn't include the call to the commentform action. If that is the case, simply add this code to the line before the closing form tag (< /form>) in your themes' comments.php file.
